About the artist
My greatest passion is painting and photography
Hushang Omidizadeh's paintings are about the invisible, the essential in people: Not the surroundings, not abstracting the real, but the real itself! To achieve this, he reduces both colour and means.

Surface | Bodyprints
-
In the series "Bodyprints", the artist dispenses with brushes and paints his models with paint, who then leave their coloured traces on the painting surface by laying themselves on the canvas. They are imprints of their own bodies, the unadorned truth of their identity.
Surface Blue | Bodyprints
-
In the series "Bodyprints", the artist dispenses with brushes and paints his models with paint, who then leave their coloured traces on the painting surface by laying themselves on the canvas. They are imprints of their own bodies, the unadorned truth of their identity.
Structure
-
The focus of his work is on texture and abstract colour compositions. Most are based on traditional media and techniques, such as canvas, paper, wood panel, painted with acrylic and mixed media.
Colours, surface structures and textures of the environment and nature, creating new abstract compositions or restructured textured paintings. One focus of his work is reduced paintings in colour and texture.
For the "Structure Series" he does not use a brush. It is painted in several layers and allowed to develop organically without any preconceived direction. The result is an expressive work that leaves the viewer free to experience the work on a purely emotional level.
