Martin Cornelis Schmidt

Martin Cornelius Schmidt is a photographer, photo artist and abstract painter who lives in a small town in southern Münsterland. As a freelance photographer and artist, he first moved to southern Germany, then to Düsseldorf, where he ran a photo studio for many years. He works throughout Europe as an architectural photographer, among other things.

Originally at home in advertising photography, with numerous publications in various magazines such as "Vogue", his passion for art soon became apparent.

His art is abstract. Familiar perspectives are abstracted through light, colour and brilliance to such an extent that something completely new is created. Whether with camera or brush. His large-format works impress with their light and luminosity.
